Paul C. King, SARA, a professor of Architectural Technology at New York City College of Technology is a licensed Architect with degrees in Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design. In demand as a presenter, his research focus is the early work of John A. Roebling, the most influential American engineer of the 19th century. A member of the Society of Industrial Archeology, he presents annually at their national convention, on various topics related to Roebling.

Accepted for publication, his manuscript titled “Roebling, Before the Bridge” focuses on the evolution of Roebling’s technical innovations present in his early work and embodied in the design of his final work, the Brooklyn Bridge.  Keenly interested in the history of the Delaware & Hudson Canal which featured four of Roebling’s early suspension aqueducts.

Prof. King serves as a historical consultant to the National Parks Service providing tours of Roebling’s Delaware Aqueduct and his technical addendum correcting this historic record was accepted by Historic American Engineering Record to be part of the national archives.
